About Us
Finding Inspiration in Every Turn
Our church is more than just a building, it's a community of believers. We welcome people from all walks of life to come and experience God's love in a warm and welcoming environment. Our doors are open to everyone, regardless of denomination or faith. We want to cultivate an atmosphere where everyone can feel safe to ask questions, seek answers, and grow in their faith. Come join us on this journey as we pursue God's purpose for our lives.
Our Story
It was during the summer of 1995 when a man of God stepped out on faith and left his home church to begin his own ministry. One night after he had ordered takeout he went and stood on the sidewalk and had a conversation with God. While waiting on his food, he had hung his head in frustration because he was confident that he had heard The Lord beckoning him to start a ministry, yet he still hadn’t found a building.
Suddenly, he heard the Lord say two words that would change his life. “Look Up!” With his head bowed, he said, “I am Lord, I’m looking up. I’m trusting you!” No, Look Up! The Lord spoke to him. With his foot rested on the building that he was leaning on, Bishop Leroy Bryant looked up and saw a For Lease sign on the building. He quickly dialed the number and to his surprise, the owner of the building was next door cutting hair finishing up his last client for the night. A few minutes later the owner came and took Bishop Bryant on a tour of the building, they agreed on the lease and then the work began.

Over the next several weeks, he would spend countless dollars on remodeling a facility that once held a demonic group called “The skinheads”. Bishop Bryant didn’t have much but he had a Word from The Lord, and he had a vision.

Soon, several of his colleagues and coworkers from the Ford Motor Company Dearborn glass plant began giving Bishop Bryant money to support the vision. He purchased curtains, microphones, chairs and many other things needed for the Church.

On Sunday, October 1, 1995, Bishop Bryant opened the doors of Ambassadors For Christ Holiness Temple on Joy Rd. Six people attended that first service and Bishop preached as if it were six thousand people in the room. Within a few months, the church had grown and dozens had joined and called Ambassadors For Christ Holiness Temple their home. It was a lot of joy on Joy Rd. housed in that building.

In the summer of 2001, we relocated to our current home (pictured above) and totally remodeled the facility. The facility has undergone a total of five major renovations since 2001 with the latest being in January 2023 which was the new, state of the art media center.
In the September of 2021, Bishop Bryant along with the Executive Board of AFCHT voted unanimously that his grandson, (our current Pastor) Dr. Drevon Bryant would succeed him as the next Pastor of Ambassadors For Christ Holiness Temple. In November of 2022, Bishop Leroy W. Bryant made his transition to Heaven after a two-year battle with liver failure.
On January 15, 2023, Dr. Drevon Bryant was officially installed as the senior Pastor of Ambassadors For Christ Holiness Temple. Under Dr. Bryant's leadership, the Church has witnessed a fresh excitement amongst the membership. We believe that greatness is on the horizon for AFCHT.
